Graduate Student Council
The FSU Mathematics Graduate Student Council serves as the liaison between the graduate students and the administration of the Department of Mathematics. Association for Women in Mathematics
The Association for Women in Mathematics is a student organization, open to all undergraduate and graduate students, that encourages members to study and to have active careers in the mathematical sciences The Mentorship Program pairs both graduate students and senior undergraduate students with undergraduate students in the organization to help guide them through the academic year. Directed Reading Program Mentors
The DRP in Mathematics is a program designed to provide undergraduate students with the opportunity to engage in independent study under the guidance and mentorship of a graduate student. Please see the DRP website for more information.
Seminars and Colloquia
All FSU students are welcome to attend math department seminars and colloquia. The department offers a weekly tea and a colloquium most Friday afternoons in the fall and spring semesters. Colloquium speakers aim portions of their talk toward advanced undergraduate or beginning graduate students. They provide a wonderful opportunity for students to absorb the language of mathematics.
